Website design in Huntington Beach
Every result in a search, paid or not, sends people to a website. We design and build websites for businesses, from our office in Huntington Beach, so the page people land on says clearly what the business does and how to reach it.
The parts
What a result with a website is made of
In a search, a website first appears as a result: a title, a few lines and the page behind them.
The page
The page the result opens, which has to work on a phone as well as on a computer.
The title
The linked line of the result, usually taken from the page’s own title.
The description
The lines under the title, which Google often takes from the page’s meta description or from its text.

What designing a website involves
Website design, for a business, is the work of building the site people reach from search results, ads, profiles and posts. Its job is practical: to say what the business does, where it works and how to contact it, on a page that loads quickly and reads well on a phone. Underneath sit the parts a visitor never sees but search engines read: a title and a description for every page, headings that follow the content, structured data that names the business, its address and its phone, and page addresses that keep working when the site changes. A form that sends requests to the business, and a phone number that can be tapped, close the gap between a visit and a call. A site also has to be accessible: readable at large text sizes, usable with a keyboard and clear in its colors, for every visitor.
This website runs on LunOS, our own platform. What we design and build for your business, and where it is hosted, is agreed in writing before we start.
What we need from you: your logo and any photographs you own, accurate details about the business, and someone who can answer questions about the services while the pages are written.
Questions
Questions about websites
Do I need a website if I have a Google Business Profile?
The profile answers quick questions: where, what number, how to get there. A website is where a business explains its services in its own words, and it is the page Google and ads send people to when they want more than the card shows.
Will my old page addresses keep working?
Old addresses that people or search engines still use can be sent to their new pages with permanent redirects, so links keep working when a site is rebuilt.
Who owns the website?
Our terms say that once the fees are paid in full, a client receives a license to use the deliverables produced specifically for it, and that client data and client-owned assets remain the client’s property. The details of each project are in its written agreement.
Can the website take requests and calls?
Yes. A website can carry a contact form that sends requests to the business and phone numbers that can be tapped on a phone. This website does both, through LunOS.
Does a business website need a privacy policy?
A site that collects names, emails or phone numbers through a form should say how it handles them, and a business that sends text messages has to describe its program in its privacy policy and terms. The privacy policy and terms of this website are linked at the foot of every page.
